Overview

Use for large mirrors of varied form designed to fit above mantels. Generally of two main types: those made to be hung horizontally and which usually consist of three but sometimes four panes of glass, of which the central pane is about twice the width of each outer one; and those made to be hung vertically, often consisting of a single square or rectangular pane of glass, sometimes with a painting set within the frame above the upper portion of the mirror. May have attached candle branches.
