Overview
Rather than memorialising the dead, Fiona Jack’s print celebrates those who survived World War I. Her work features ‘the first and most complete list’ of New Zealanders who served and survived.
Comprised of 108,920 names, her ‘survivors’ roll of honour’ stretches over 20 unique prints. The list she assembled with historian Phil Lascelles includes nurses, Voluntary Aid Detachment personnel, and New Zealanders who served in the British army.
