Pyrolycus moelleri Anderson, 2006.
A lycodine eelpout, described from only two specimens collected at 1336 m from Brothers Seamount (Kermadec Ridge, New Zealand) using the submersible Shinkai 6500 suction sampler. This genus is very rare and known to occur only around hydrothermal areas. P. moelleri is the second known species of the genus to be described, and the only known species from the South Pacific.
